This striking large pendant by Etta Endito showcases a high-grade Waterweb Kingman Turquoise — its heavenly blue hues and spider-webbed matrix shine brilliantly amidst hand-worked sterling silver. The stone is thoughtfully bezel-set and framed by fluid silver curves and detailing, reflecting both the rugged beauty of the Southwest and the refined touch of artisan design.
The back of the pendant is stamped “Sterling” and hall-marked with Etta’s signature “E” — an unmistakable mark of authenticity and quality. This piece is not just jewelry—it's a wearable story of heritage, stone and spirit. This magnificent piece measures 5 3/4 from the top of the bale to the bottom of the pendant and is 3 1/4 inch wide at the widest point. The bale can accommodate up to a 17mm bead. Total weight of this piece is 106.9 grams.
Etta Endito, of the Navajo (Diné) Nation, hails from Crownpoint, New Mexico, and is born into the Tangle Water Clan (mother’s side) and Bitter Water Clan (father’s side). She began working in silver as a young teenager, assisting her mother at the bench by age 13. By the time she finished school, she was already developing her own distinctive style of silversmithing. In 1978 she met fellow silversmith Randy Endito, and by 1980 they were working together full-time, blending their craftsmanship into a family studio. Etta’s focus is in creating the design and pattern work—the flowing lines, the silver detailing—while Randy specialized in shaping, stamping and finishing the pieces. Today, Etta continues to honor tradition while making stone and silver speak across generations. Her pieces carry memory, place and purpose—a testament to heritage artistry and bohemian spirit alike.
