This is a Navajo handcrafted pendant and necklace by Victor Thompson with inlay by Lester James. The pendant features the image of a Bear. The reversible Bear is created with Mother of Pearl, Onyx and Jasper on one side and a Petroglyph design on the other. The bale is also crafted with inlay on one side and a Petroglyph design of the other. All work has been crafted with Sterling Silver. The bottom of the bear paws are signed by the artists noted as VT and LJ. The pendant is approximately 2 5/8 inches long as measured from the top of the bale to the bottom of the pendant and is approximately 2 7/16 inches wide at the widest point. Total weight of the pendant is 50.3 grams.
The necklace is crafted with Jasper and is capped with Sterling Silver balls, cones and claps. The necklace measures 21 1/2 inches from clasp to clasp and has a total weight of 67.5 grams.
